The 1st-2nd grade teams play a modified 4 on 4 game. The focus is introducing players to the game of girls lacrosse.
The 3nd-4th grade teams play a modified 7 on 7 game to maximize playing time. It is largely instructional and this modified version helps these young players to learn to play the game effectively. Commitment is 1-2 practices per week and weekend games.
The 5th-6th and 7th-8th teams play with 12 players on each side and on a full field. We believe in full participation so everyone gets to play. This is not a select team. Players should be ready to commit to several practices during the week and weekend games.

Is the girls game just like the boys game?
No, girls lacrosse is its own unique game. It has the speed of the boys game but does not have the contact of the boys game. The game is played with the same ball but the stick and gear that is required is different. Girls do not have helmets (except the goalie), protective gloves or shoulder pads. Girls have their own specialized gloves and wear goggles to protect their eyes. The girls have 12 players on a side rather than the 10 that the boys have.
